There is no standard procedure per say, and transactions can vary immensely making it difficult to generalize a best or correct way of handling delivery of a vehicle. For individuals that have a prior relationship– family members, mutual friends, or coworkers, dropping off a vehicle at the buyer’s home may be most efficient. For individuals that meet me through an advertisement or online, it may make more sense to meet at the autobody shop that provided the vehicle inspection. Individuals who may live in a different area and need a shipping service to transport a vehicle would have to agree to the terms of that arrangement and specify those details in their contract. As you can see there are many ways the pickup/dropoff can make sense for different transactions, but the common theme is that terms are discussed and agreed upon when they create and sign their contract. The exchange of funds is always done by Contract Keepers and this eliminates the risk of robbery during the vehicle exchange process.
By building a legally binding agreement that specifies terms approved by both parties, verifying personal and financial information provided, and disbursing funds according to the project timeline, Contract Keepers helps deter fraudulent dealers from transacting with our service. Any service that promises to eliminate all the risks associated with conducting a private vehicle sale is not being truthful. Our goal is to provide users with the tools they need to eliminate as many of the opportunities for fraud as possible. There will always be individuals attempting to commit fraud, but by informing users of how these actions may take place, we can guarantee you are able to handle any issues that may arise in the most efficient manner, and minimize these issues by planning for what may occur.
Contract Keepers offers more flexibility and safety than any other options for selling your vehicle. Currently, Contract Keepers does not connect a buyer and seller, therefore online marketplaces are not targeting the same customers as our service. If you are interested in offering a potential buyer or seller an offer with a payment plan, and would like to take care of all the legal aspects of the transaction yourself then Contract Keepers may be the ideal solution. Selling your vehicle to a local dealer may be convenient, allowing you to do none of the work associated with selling your vehicle, however dealers charge extremely large fees. Contract Keepers is a tool for those individuals motivated to buy, sell, or trade vehicles without the help of an outside entity. Contract Keepers helps conduct smooth transactions, minimizing the risks of issues that often arise during private vehicle sales.
Our users have the ability to completely customize their agreements, meaning transactions for any type of vehicle are possible. Our platform was designed with various types of transactions in mind, so the first step in the contract building process is selecting the type of transaction the user will conduct. Depending on the type of contract, sellers will be asked to input different transaction specific information.
Creating an account through the Contract Keepers portal allows our users to build a contract instantly, and send payments to verified counter parties. A fraudulent contractor, buyer, or seller would never agree to use Contract Keepers Solutions for their transactions. Not only do we deter fraudulent behavior, but we provide a unique all in one solution that makes complicated transactions more manageable for both the buyer and seller. Our solution provides an option for individuals looking to purchase goods outside of a marketplace, and promotes holding the counterparty involved accountable for agreed upon deliverables, without paying excessive legal or insurance fees.
A seller will include tracking information for transactions that require a delivery service. When the delivery service verifies a package has been delivered, the seller is no longer liable for missing, stolen, or damaged packages– given proof it was shipped in a different condition. The buyer and seller will have to work with the delivery service provider, and different levels of shipping insurance exist for scenarios such as these. If a product is delivered and the buyer is not satisfied with the quality, or the product is not as described, then the seller will be responsible. The seller should document the quality of the goods before they ship them, so that the buyer and seller can determine if issues occurred during the shipping process.

Contract Keepers enables successful transactions by offering a comprehensive set of tools essential for securely and efficiently completing transactions. Smart contracts are mainly used alongside cryptocurrencies, and users may incur large fees in order to send each payment throughout a transaction’s lifetime.

Contractor’s agreements are supplemental documents that will still be included in the legal contract, ensuring both parties will have an understanding of all parts of the project. Signing contractor’s agreements may be satisfactory, however using Contract Keepers guarantees homeowners have access to all aspects of the contract. Both parties will also be able to track down the other party in case of fraudulent activity, because it is necessary to include some personal information when generating a contract. Our payment partners also verify financial information from both parties in order to disburse funds. Our platform minimizes the risk of missing the fine print and potentially receiving lower quality work, hidden fees, missed deadlines, costly errors, and much more.
If the contractor does not sign your agreement, reach out and ask what they disagree on and why. Often, when making a contract, we, as consumers, will have unrealistic expectations of contractors. Most of the time, this will be resolved through communication and mutually agreeing on things such as costs, time horizons, and quality of craftsmanship.
Contract Keeper’s contracts outline the entire project and any communication before, during, and after the project. Before the contract is accepted, both parties must agree to litigate, mitigate, or arbitrate in the event that things go wrong. It is up to both parties to utilize this information when handling a dispute.
Yes. When both parties agree to our contracts, they are agreeing to a legal document.
Our fee is only a fraction of the price you pay if there is a problem, or the job is not done to your satisfaction. These are the average fees you will occur. Filing fees will run from $250-$800 depending on the court in which you file. You’ll also be looking at attorney’s fees, which can be paid on a contingency basis (a percentage of what’s recovered), or on an hourly basis ($200-$500 per hour). Our goal is to help you and your contractor avoid these costs and headaches.
Click on the contract ID for the contract you would like to release payments for. At the top of the page, click “payment info”. Click on the phase you would like to send payments for and locate “status”. Click on the drop-down menu and switch the task from either “to-do” or “in progress” and switch it to “complete”.
